Astrology is a symbolic system that interprets human psychological structure and life trends through the trajectories of celestial bodies. It is not a simple tool for "predicting fate," but rather a model built on the correspondence between time, space, and symbols.

The modern Western astrological system originated primarily in ancient Babylon and was systematized by Greek philosophy before spreading to Europe. Its core theoretical foundation is separate from astronomy, but it is still based on the cycles of celestial bodies.

The basic unit of astrology is the "natal chart," which is a diagram showing the arrangement of celestial bodies on the zodiac at the moment of a person's birth.

The natal chart consists of four core structures:

I. The Twelve Zodiac Signs

The ecliptic is divided into 12 30-degree intervals, forming the twelve constellations:

Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

Zodiac signs represent "energy expression methods," not specific events.

For example:

  • Fire signs → Action-oriented
  • Earth signs → Stability
  • Air signs → Mindset
  • Water signs → Emotions

II. The Ten Planets

In astrology, "planet" includes the Sun and the Moon (luminous bodies).

  • Sun → Core Self
  • Moon → Emotional Pattern
  • Mercury → Way of thinking
  • Venus → Relationships and Aesthetics
  • Mars → Action
  • Jupiter → Expansion
  • Saturn → Limitations and Responsibilities
  • Uranus → Change
  • Neptune → Ideals and Fog
  • Pluto → Deep Transformation

Planets represent "psychological functions".

III. The Twelve Houses

The houses represent areas of life, for example:

  • First House → Self-Image
  • Seventh House → Partnership
  • Tenth House → Career Development

The house position determines "which area the event will occur in".

IV. Aspects

Aspect is the angular relationship between planets, for example:

  • Phase (0°)
  • Hedging (180°)
  • Criminal (90°)
  • Three-thirds (120°)

Phases represent psychological conflict or collaboration.

Astrology is not fatalism, but a tool for analyzing personality and subconscious structures. It helps people understand their energy patterns, rather than determining outcomes.
